Cervical Screening

Cervical screening (also known as a smear test) is a routine health check that helps detect abnormal changes in the cervix, reducing the risk of cervical cancer. This test is offered every 3 years to women aged 25 to 49 and every 5 years for those aged 50 to 64.

The screening involves a quick and simple procedure where a small sample of cells is taken from the cervix and tested for high-risk HPV (human papillomavirus), which can lead to cervical cancer. Regular screening is important for early detection and prevention.

If you are due for a cervical screening, please contact the surgery to book an appointment.

24-Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring

Our 24-hour blood pressure monitoring service provides a more accurate assessment of your blood pressure over an extended period. This test helps identify conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure) and evaluates how well your current treatment is working.

A small, portable monitor will be fitted to your arm, which automatically takes readings at regular intervals throughout the day and night. This gives a more detailed picture of your blood pressure levels in everyday settings rather than just during a single appointment.

Your GP will review the results and discuss any necessary next steps with you. If you have been referred for this test, our team will provide full instructions on how to use the monitor and what to expect.
