Maidstone Road Surgery - Monday - Friday 8 am - 12.30pm & 3pm - 6pm

Upchurch Surgery - Monday 10am - 1pm, Wednesday 3pm - 6pm &

                                     Thursday 10am - 1pm

 

ONLINE APPOINTMENTS

You can book and cancel appointments online via Patient Access.  In order to sign up to this you need to contact the reception team for an access code.  Please go to the Contact Us page, email us at G82180.surgery@nhs.net or call 01634 231423.

EXTENDED HOURS

Extended hours appointments are offered at the surgery in Maidstone Road on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 - 8pm

PCN SERVICES 

You can now see a range of different professionals. Please speak to our reception team if you feel that you may benefit from seeing one of these. Face to face appointments are held at St Margarets Millenium Centre, Gatekeeper Chase, Rainham, Kent.  ME8 9BH

Physiotherapy - 

First Contact Physiotherapists will see patients who are suffering with:

  • All soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries

  • Arthritis – any joint

  • Possible problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bone, eg tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains

  • Spinal pain including lower back pain, mid-back pain and neck pain

  • Spinal-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms, eg pins and needles or numbness

  • Post-orthopaedic surgery

Podiatry -

​This service is provided by Xcel Health and will see patients with the following conditions:

  • Foot, heel, and leg pain

  • General foot care -corns, calluses, and fungal infections

  • Toenail problems

  • Cutting toenails and treating nail problems

  • Removal of hard skin

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Foot disorders

  • Pregnancy-related foot problems

  • Diabetes foot care

  • Footwear advice

  • Vascular Assessment

  • Routine foot care

  • Diabetic assessment

  • Diabetic foot ulcer assessment, management, and referral on to MDFT

  • Foot education​​​

Social Prescribers -

  • Improve patient wellbeing and tackle social isolation, and loneliness;

  • Support individuals to take greater control of their own health by supporting them to access a variety of activities which are typically provided by public, voluntary and community sector and social enterprise organisations. Examples include public health services (stop smoking, weight management, substance misuse, physical activity), volunteering, arts activities, group learning, gardening, befriending, housing/ benefits support, home first safety checks and debt management.

Dietician -

This service is provided by Xcel Health and will see patients with the following conditions

  • Malnutrition/underweight

  • Allergies and food intolerances

  • Gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis & Coeliac disease

  • Pre-diabetes & Type 2 diabetes

  • Obesity/Overweight

  • High cholesterol

Minor Injury Unit - Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital, Bell Road, Sittingbourne, Kent  ME10 4DT

9.00am - 9.00pm every day of the year.

HOME VISITS

If you are housebound or too ill to visit the practice, you can request a home visit.  Wherever possible, please try to do this before 11.00am

You will be asked for brief details of the reason for requesting a visit in order for the team to prioritise the need, urgency and most appropriate professional.  This may be a GP, Nurse or Paramedic Practitioner from Rainham PCN or the home visiting service provided by Medway Practices Alliance.
